The attendance at the Tempe venue stood at 54,063 as Baylor dominated the statistical categories and the scoreboard.

Baylor’s Scoring Drive

Baylor’s offense operated with high efficiency under quarterback DJ Lagway. He completed 25 of 40 passes for 306 yards and four touchdowns. His receivers included Louis Brown IV, who caught a 10-yard pass in the second quarter, and Tony Livingston, who finished a 3-yard play in the first quarter. Caden Knighten added a 75-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter, providing a significant momentum shift. Gavin Freeman led the receiving corps with 115 yards on seven catches.

Arizona State’s Effort

The Sun Devils relied on quarterback Cutter Boley, who completed 25 of 43 passes for 304 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Boley found Omarion Miller for a 30-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Reed Harris was the primary target for the defense, catching seven passes for 125 yards. Kyson Brown rushed seven times for 34 yards. Kicker Carson Smith provided the only other points for the home team, hitting field goals of 46, 32, 36, and 40 yards. Baylor’s Rhett Armstrong kicked four field goals (36, 23, and two others implied by score lines) and all extra points, including a 23-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to seal the result.

Final Result

The final score was Baylor 55, Arizona State 19. The quarter scores were 14-3, 21-13, 38-16, and 55-19 in favor of the Bears.
