Astros Dominate Early

The visitors took a commanding lead in the third inning, scoring four runs to build a cushion they never relinquished. Carlos Altuve’s groundout to first base allowed Jose Pena to score, extending the Astros' advantage to 1-0. Shortly after, Adrian Diaz’s double to left field drove in Yordan Alvarez, making it 2-0. The inning concluded with a massive surge when Alex Bregman tripled to center field, scoring Diaz and another runner to extend the lead to 4-0. The Athletics failed to record a single run in the entire contest, leaving their season record at 64-98.

Late-Inning Surge
