Aubrey fire crews responded to a structure fire located east of Aubrey High School on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near Farm to Market 428, according to a social media post from officials.
City officials clarified that the fire did not take place at the high school or on any school property. The blaze was contained to a separate structure situated just east of the campus.
Firefighters from Aubrey worked to contain the flames with assistance from neighboring fire departments. The department stated that the fire was brought under control quickly.
