The parade at Aubrey’s 40th Peanut Festival has been postponed because of the weather forecast, while the downtown festival remains scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, the city says.

A replacement parade date has not been announced. The city’s updated event banner lists festival hours of 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Food trucks, vendors and family activities are still planned. The afternoon concert begins at 4:30 p.m. with Jon Jon Perry, followed by the Back Road Travelers.

Shuttle parking is available at McNabb Middle School, 815 W. Sherman Drive, and Brockett Elementary School, 900 Chestnut Street. The city also lists parking at the school district’s administrative office, 415 Tisdell Lane, and street spaces beyond Dane Street.

Visitors should check the city’s updated festival page and modified parking maps before traveling. The parade postponement does not cancel the festival itself.
