The Dallas Cowboys have secured a one-year contract with Von Miller, who is recognized as the NFL's active leader in career sacks with a total of 138.5. Miller announced the signing via an Instagram post, expressing his enthusiasm with the words, "Hereee Weee Gooo."
A DeSoto, Texas native, Miller has significant connections to the region, having played college football at Texas A&M. He is entering his 15th NFL season after a year with the Washington Commanders, where he achieved 26 tackles and nine sacks in 17 games. Miller is a two-time Super Bowl champion, winning titles with the Denver Broncos in 2015 and the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.
Drafted second overall by the Broncos in 2011, Miller has also played for the Buffalo Bills. Over his career, he has recorded 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles across 203 games. His accolades include three First Team All-Pro honors and eight Pro Bowl selections.
The Cowboys are scheduled to kick off their 2026 regular season against the New York Giants on September 13 in a Sunday Night Football matchup.
