Attorney Coby DuBose contests the arrest warrant affidavit's claims that Fields struck Ezukanma without warning. He argues that Fields merely approached Ezukanma to say hello before the incident escalated. DuBose claims that Fields had previously communicated his concerns about rough treatment during practice, emphasizing that he had informed the coaching staff about feeling targeted during drills.
