Schottenheimer mentioned that Blue and Mafah might seek advice from Davis as they face uncertainty in their careers.
To strengthen their roster, the Cowboys have claimed running back Emari Demercado off waivers from Kansas City. Schottenheimer pointed to Demercado's versatility, especially in special teams, as a crucial reason for this acquisition. Additionally, offensive coordinator Klayton Adams's prior experience with Demercado in Arizona influenced the decision.
Currently, the Cowboys have added 13 individuals to their practice squad, which can accommodate up to 16 players. They also have an allowance for one more player due to the International Player Pathway program, which includes defensive tackle Dayo Odeleye. Schottenheimer expressed confidence in the team's running back group as they work to finalize their roster decisions.
