Dallas Cowboys safety Jalen Thompson is expected to miss at least four weeks because of a hamstring injury, executive vice president Stephen Jones said. Jones also indicated the team will look for additional help at safety after injuries affected the position.
The injury occurred in Dallas’ 34-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. The Cowboys appeared close to forcing overtime, but Baltimore connected on a long pass late in the game and then kicked the winning field goal.
Dallas entered that matchup with a 1-2 record. The team had allowed the New York Giants to put together a strong offensive showing in Week 1, then surrendered late production to Marcus Mariota in Week 2.
