Dallas is down to two offensive linemen on its practice squad after Green Bay agreed to sign guard Laken Tomlinson, NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported. Marcellus Johnson, a tackle who has not appeared in an NFL game, and Wanya Morris, who has played both left and right tackle during his three-year career, remain on the squad.
Tomlinson, 34, joined Dallas earlier this month after All-Pro guard Tyler Smith went on injured reserve following thumb surgery. He did not play in either of the Cowboys’ first two games. Smith can return after Week 4, while details about Tomlinson’s role with Green Bay were not provided.
The Detroit Lions selected Tomlinson in the first round of the 2015 draft. He has played in 173 games and started 162 across 11 NFL seasons, including a 2021 Pro Bowl selection with San Francisco. His other teams have been the New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans, for whom he appeared in 10 games in 2025.
Tomlinson allowed three sacks and 11 pressures for Houston last season. Green Bay has had offensive-line injuries involving Aaron Banks and Zach Bako-Bewele, who is out for the season with a torn patellar tendon. The Packers have allowed 57 pressures through three games, and Jordan Love has been sacked eight times.
Dallas is scheduled to visit Green Bay in Week 6.
