Ryan Flournoy will not be in uniform for the Cowboys' first preseason game against the Seahawks. Nick Harris from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that Flournoy is not anticipated to play in the matchup scheduled for Saturday.

Earlier this month, Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer suggested that the starters are likely to remain sidelined throughout the preseason. Despite his absence in the opener, Flournoy is expected to have multiple opportunities to build his connection with Dak Prescott during training camp practices.

Flournoy is projected to take on the role of the Cowboys' No. 3 receiver, though his playing time could be restricted due to the presence of standout wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Details regarding Flournoy's role and chances during the preseason have yet to be clarified.
