Noah Brown, who previously played as a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, has officially joined the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team on Sunday. This addition brings a physical presence to the Raiders' receiving group, leading to the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to make room on the roster.
Throughout his career, Brown has faced challenges, particularly injuries that caused him to miss 19 games during his time with the Washington Commanders. However, when healthy, he demonstrated his skills, achieving 40 receptions for 536 yards and one touchdown, with an average of 13.4 yards per catch.
Drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft after his time at Ohio State, Brown became known for his versatility and reliability. He had a notable 2022 season with Dallas, recording 43 passes for 555 yards and three touchdowns.
Following his tenure with the Cowboys, he signed with the Houston Texans, where he made 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.2 yards per reception. Over his NFL career, Brown has totaled 155 catches for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns.
While the Raiders do not expect him to be the primary focus of their offense, Brown's experience and toughness may prove beneficial to their receiving lineup. This signing represents a new chapter for Brown as he aims to further his NFL career after overcoming injury setbacks.
