Dallas will be without linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, safeties P.J. Locke and Malik Hooker, and cornerback Cobie Durant when it faces Baltimore in Brazil on Sunday. Three of the four are starters. Locke, a third safety and key reserve, also will miss a matchup with an offense led by quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry.
None of the players practiced this week, and all four remained in the United States rather than traveling to Brazil. Dallas has allowed one of the NFL’s three lowest total-defense performances in 2025 and ranks 29th out of 32 teams after two games this season.
Team executive vice president Stephen Jones said Overshown and Hooker might be available for the Week 4 game at Houston. Overshown has a hamstring strain, and Hooker is healing from a fractured forearm. Those injuries happened in the opener against the Giants, and both missed Dallas’ Week 2 win over Washington.
Overshown relays the defense’s signals. Neither player has been cleared, and the source did not say either was likely to return. Durant, who has a hamstring injury, and Locke, who has a foot injury, are not expected to play against the Texans.
