The TCU Horned Frogs have locked in a 2028 football contest against the Northwestern State Demons. The matchup is confirmed for Saturday, September 2, 2028, at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. A public records request revealed that TCU will pay a $600,000 guarantee to Northwestern State for this appearance.

This contest represents the second time these programs have met on the gridiron. Their sole previous encounter took place in 2001, where the Demons claimed a 27-24 victory in overtime. Northwestern State, located in Natchitoches, Louisiana, plays in the Southland Conference at the Football Championship Subdivision level.

Head coach Blaine McCorkle currently leads a team that has dropped its first two games against Louisiana Christian and Louisiana Tech.

The Demons' inclusion finalizes TCU's non-conference lineup for the 2028 campaign. The Horned Frogs will begin their season at home against Louisiana on August 26, followed by a trip to Duke on September 9. The Big 12 Conference has not yet released specific conference opponents, though TCU is projected to play five home and four road games.

Additionally, Northwestern State has a game set to host Central Arkansas on September 16, 2028.
