Ali Gaye, a defensive end with the Houston Texans, has suffered a serious knee injury during a joint practice with the Carolina Panthers. An MRI has confirmed the severity of the injury, which will require a long recovery period and may involve a medical procedure, as reported by KPRC 2’s Aaron Wilson on August 27.
At 27 years of age, Gaye stands 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 265 pounds. He entered the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2023 following a period with the Tennessee Titans. Over his career, he has achieved nine tackles and one sack. Gaye was anticipated to add depth to the roster, particularly supporting established players Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter.
This injury compounds the Texans' challenges, particularly among their defensive ends, raising questions about the team's overall depth as they pursue a successful season.
