Houston Texans linebacker Jake Hummel is set to miss at least four games after being placed on injured reserve Saturday. The roster designation followed a groin injury he sustained in the team's Week 1 loss to the Bills.
Hummel has not returned to practice since the injury. The earliest he can be evaluated for a spot back on the active roster will come after he has missed four games.
Jake Hansen is expected to remain the Texans' starting linebacker. He is projected to line up with Azeez Al-Shaair and Aiden Fisher during Hummel's absence.
