Henry To'oTo'o is expected to miss time with a shoulder injury suffered in Houston's 36-31 loss to Buffalo, coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday. The Texans have not decided whether to place the starting linebacker on injured reserve.
To'oTo'o was injured with 2:34 left in the fourth quarter while tackling Bills tight end Dawson Knox. He needed assistance to stand, went to the sideline and did not return. Houston selected him in the fifth round of the 2023 draft, and he signed a two-year, $16 million extension in August.
Buffalo's 36 points were the second-most Houston has allowed during Ryans' tenure. The Texans gave up 37 points to Tampa Bay in 2023, and they had not allowed more than 30 points since giving up 31 to Baltimore on Christmas in 2024. Houston's next three games are home matchups with Cincinnati, a road game at Indianapolis and a home game against Dallas.
All three opponents ranked among the NFL's top 12 scoring offenses last season. ESPN reported the injury update.
