Baylor football has published its first depth chart for the 2026 season in anticipation of the opening game against Auburn. The chart includes 22 players across various positions, highlighting the team's preparations.
DJ Lagway is designated as the starting quarterback, with backups Nate Bennett, Edward Griffin, and Quinn Murphy. At running back, Dawson Pendergrass leads the group, supported by Caden Knighten, Michael Turner, Ryelan Morris, and Jacorey Watson. The wide receiver lineup features Louis Brown IV and either Dre'lon Miller or Jadon Porter, while Gavin Freeman is the starting slot receiver.
On defense, Kyler Jordan or Jordan Mack will start at defensive end, and Devonte Tezino or Kamren Washington will take on defensive tackle roles. The linebacker positions include Travion Barnes at MIKE and Kyland Reed at WILL. In the secondary, Devon Jordan and LeVar Thornton Jr. are set as cornerbacks.
For special teams, Rhett Armstrong is the starting kicker and punter, with Dylan Schaub as the long snapper. The team is also preparing for various changes as the season unfolds.
