TCU played host to the unblemished BYU Cougars at Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday, October 3, 2026, but could not secure a victory against the visiting squad. The final score stood at 17-10 in favor of BYU, marking a tough outing for the home team as they fell to 2-3 on the season. The Cougars, meanwhile, improved their record to 4-0 with the win.

For TCU, Jaden Craig was the primary passer, completing 18 of 25 attempts for 187 yards and one touchdown, though he also threw one interception. Kari Ashley led the receiving corps with six catches for 108 yards and a touchdown. Jeremy Payne provided ground support with 14 carries for 77 yards.

BYU’s Bear Bachmeier was central to the Cougars' success. While he passed for 62 yards on 11-of-24 passing, his rushing attack was decisive. Bachmeier carried the ball 15 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Kyler Kasper contributed in the receiving game with two catches for 22 yards.

Season Implications

The loss leaves TCU at 2-3 on the year. BYU remains perfect at 4-0. The result does not indicate any advancement, elimination, or clinching status for either team at this stage.
