A One-Sided Affair in College Station

The Arkansas Razorbacks were outmatched on Saturday, October 3, 2026, suffering a 34-7 defeat to the Texas A&M Aggies at Kyle Field. In front of a crowd of 108,657, the home team established a commanding lead early and never relinquished control, extending their record to 3-2 while dropping the Razorbacks to 2-3.

Early Dominance on the Ground

The game’s trajectory was set in the first quarter, where Texas A&M scored 14 points to Arkansas’s seven. Arkansas struck first with Chris Marshall catching a 26-yard pass from KJ Jackson, but the Aggies responded swiftly. Carsyn Baker capped a drive with a two-yard run, followed by KJ Edwards adding a 20-yard touchdown run.

By the end of the first period, the Aggies had taken a 14-7 lead, a deficit Arkansas would never recover from.

The second quarter saw Texas A&M extend their advantage. Marcel Reed found the end zone with a one-yard run, and kicker David Olano added a 57-yard field goal. The Aggies entered halftime with a 24-7 lead, having outscored the Razorbacks 21-0 over the first two periods. Arkansas managed no scores in the second half, as their offense stalled completely against the Aggie defense.

Edwards Drives the Offense

KJ Edwards was the engine for the Aggies, rushing for 66 yards on 11 carries and scoring two touchdowns. His ability to gain yards after contact kept the Arkansas defense off balance. In the passing game, Marcel Reed completed 13 of 19 passes for 170 yards, providing a reliable aerial option that balanced the run-heavy attack.

Kiotti Armstrong also contributed with a 54-yard reception on his single catch.

For Arkansas, the day was frustrating. KJ Jackson passed for 111 yards on 13 of 25 attempts, throwing one touchdown pass and one interception. Sutton Smith ran for 41 yards on six carries, but the lack of explosive plays limited the team’s scoring opportunities.

Chris Marshall led the receiving corps with seven catches for 76 yards and a touchdown, but it was not enough to overcome the Aggies’ dominance. The final score, 34-7, reflected a complete performance by the home team, leaving the Razorbacks with little to show for their efforts in College Station.
