Rangers Offense Dominates Rate Field
The Texas Rangers exploded for 11 runs against the Chicago White Sox at Rate Field on Monday, securing an 11-2 victory that extended their winning streak while handing the home team another defeat. Corey Seager led the offensive charge with multiple hits, including two doubles that drove in critical runs.
Texas struck first in the top of the opening inning. Adolis Duran grounded into a fielder's choice that allowed Josh Jung to score, giving the Rangers an early 1-0 lead. The pressure mounted quickly as Seager doubled in another run later in the frame, making it 2-0 before Duran reached on an infield single to extend the advantage to 3-0.
White Sox Respond Briefly
Chicago finally got on the board in the second inning when Pete Peters launched a 372-foot home run to right field. The blast provided two runs, cutting the deficit to 3-2 and offering a brief moment of hope for the home crowd. However, the White Sox pitching could not contain the Rangers' continued assault.
In the third inning, Seager doubled to center again, this time driving in two more runs to push the score to 5-2. Texas added another run in the fifth when Josh Jung homered to center field, making it 6-2. Seager contributed further in the same inning by doubling to center to bring home another runner, extending the lead to 7-2.
