The Texas Rangers overcame a first-inning hole to secure a 4-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. The win snapped a five-game road skid for Texas, who relied on timely hitting in extra innings to outlast their opponents at Angel Stadium.
Los Angeles took an early lead when Mike Trout launched a 418-foot home run to center field in the top of the first inning. The blast gave the Angels a 1-0 advantage that held until the middle frames of the game.
