Bolte Leads Offensive Outburst
The Texas Rangers’ hopes for a win were dashed by a historic offensive display from the Oakland Athletics, who recorded seven home runs in their 9-2 victory at Globe Life Field. The standout performer was Bolte, whose first career multihomer game provided the spark that overwhelmed the Rangers' pitching staff.
Bolte opened the scoring surge in the third inning with a two-run shot to right-center field, tying the game at 2-2. He extended his output in the fourth inning by launching another home run to right field, driving in Serven to make it 5-2. His performance was instrumental in breaking open what had been a close contest early on.
Rangers’ Early Lead Vanishes
The Rangers initially held an advantage after Duran homered to left field in the first inning and Foscue added another home run to center field in the second, putting Texas ahead 2-0. However, the Athletics responded immediately when Clarke scored on Bolte’s third-inning homer.
Gelof followed with a solo home run to left in the same inning, giving Oakland its first lead at 3-2. The Rangers’ offense stalled thereafter, managing only two runs total despite Heim’s fifth-inning home run to center and Williams’ two-run double to right in the seventh that made it 9-2.
