Another large subdivision is headed for neighboring Pilot Point, and one of its builders is already marketing the drive to Aubrey along FM 1385 and U.S. 377.

Bryson Ranch, a 1,050-acre community in Pilot Point, is expected to hold more than 3,000 homes when it is built out, KTEN reported Monday. Centurion American is the developer.

Construction cannot start on foundations, homes or amenities until the Pilot Point City Council approves the plans, and that vote is expected by the end of October, according to the station's report.

"We don't sit on land," Sean Terry, a Centurion American vice president, told KTEN. He said the company expects the first phase to be finished, with people living there, by the end of next year.

Builders already taking names

At least two homebuilders have Bryson Ranch pages up. First Texas Homes lists the community as coming soon, at 7749 Lights Ranch Road near FM 1385, and says prices and availability have not been announced.

Its listing places the community in Pilot Point ISD, describes a master plan with several amenity centers, parks, trails, pools, playgrounds and future commercial areas, and points to access via FM 1385 and U.S. 377 toward Prosper, Celina, Aubrey and Frisco. D.R. Horton's Bryson Ranch page showed no homes for sale as of Monday.

KTEN's report did not include a lot count by phase, a price range or a timeline for the later phases.
