The Dallas Cowboys are set to kick off their 2026 training camp in Oxnard, California, this week. The team will report on July 27, with the first practices open to fans starting July 29.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer, now in his second year, will hold a press conference on July 29, joined by owner Jerry Jones and executive vice president Stephen Jones. The camp will feature the annual Back Together Saturday event on August 1, and practices will be free for public attendance until August 18.

A key focus for the Cowboys this camp is their defense, which struggled in 2025 by allowing an average of 30 points per game, the worst in the league. A new defensive coordinator, Christian Parker, is implementing a 3-4 scheme, and reports suggest that up to seven new starters could be introduced on that side of the ball.

In contrast, the offense remains mostly unchanged after averaging 27.7 points per game last season, providing Schottenheimer with a stable group while the revamped defense seeks improvement. This marks the 20th year that the Cowboys have held their training camp in Oxnard.
