A Farmers Branch-based developer has acquired 168 acres east of Aubrey for a new residential project. Centurion American announced Tuesday that the site, located at the intersection of FM428 (Spring Hill Road) and Coffey Road, will become Covey Creek. The development is designed to include 828 single-family homes.
Construction of the residences will be handled by D.R. Horton and First Texas Homes. The project plans also call for a dog park, a dedicated open space park, and an amenity center. Most of the purchased land falls within Aubrey's statutory extraterritorial jurisdiction.
Mehrdad Moayedi, president and CEO of Centurion American, stated in a press release that the company aims to create a community Aubrey residents will be proud of. He noted that the firm has invested in Denton County for many years and intends to continue that work while collaborating with city officials.
Pricing for the homes has not been disclosed. The developer indicated that lot delivery to the builders is scheduled for spring or summer 2028. This project adds to Centurion American's existing portfolio in the region, which includes Chaparral Ridge in Aubrey and several other developments in Pilot Point such as Bryson Ranch, Creekview Meadows, and Mobberly Farms.
