Angela Stanford, who is from Saginaw, about 15 miles from Fort Worth, is returning to TCU as an assistant coach for the women's golf team. Her hiring follows her recent work as captain of the U.S. team at the Solheim Cup. TCU did not provide additional details about her responsibilities.
Stanford played for the Horned Frogs from 1996 through 2000 and earned All-American honors four times. She is the only four-time All-American in the program's history and still holds TCU's record with 10 victories.
Head coach Ravaioli-Larkin said the program was delighted to bring Stanford back to TCU and identified her as the team's third coach. Ravaioli-Larkin also pointed to Stanford's experience as a major champion and her leadership of the U.S. Solheim Cup team.
