Baylor will be without quarterback DJ Lagway for Saturday’s game against Louisiana Tech, giving Nate Bennett his second consecutive start. ESPN.com reported the quarterback update.
Bennett threw for 314 yards and accounted for four touchdowns in Baylor’s game against Prairie View A&M last week. He also had two interceptions in that contest. Lagway, a transfer from Florida, has not played since suffering an ankle injury in Baylor’s season-opening loss to Auburn. He was listed as doubtful before also missing the Prairie View A&M game.
Louisiana Tech is making a quarterback adjustment of its own. Blake Baker, the Bulldogs’ starter, is unavailable because of a hand injury, and Trey Kukuk will take the opening assignment.
