The Dallas Cowboys have reached new deals with Ryan Flournoy and Brevyn Spann-Ford that could be worth a combined $24 million. Both contracts extend beyond the 2026 season, marking a shift from the team's earlier practice of waiting for players to establish themselves before offering long-term agreements.
Flournoy's one-year addition runs through 2027 and has a maximum value of $6 million. He recorded 40 catches, 475 yards and four touchdowns in 2025, and a report said he is expected to become the team's established No. 3 receiver. His size and athletic ability allow him to play all three receiver spots in Dallas' 11-personnel sets.
The agreement could help preserve stability among the Cowboys' leading receivers if George Pickens leaves after the current season.
Spann-Ford agreed to a three-year contract that keeps him in Dallas through 2029. It can pay up to $18 million, with $12.075 million guaranteed. He joined the NFL in 2024 without being drafted and competed with Luke Schoonmaker for backup tight-end snaps behind Jake Ferguson last season.
Earlier extensions for Terence Steele, Jaylon Smith, Dak Prescott, Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland were cited as examples of the Cowboys waiting until players had shown success.
