The NFL has imposed a fine of $500,000 on both the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints due to multiple fights that occurred during their joint practice. This decision comes after a session that reportedly saw over ten altercations, including pushing and punches, which detracted from the teams' practice objectives.

A recent scuffle at Cowboys practice involved tight end Jake Ferguson and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, ignited by Ferguson's response to a tackle. The situation was resolved quickly without further escalation. Notably, Cowboys edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku was ejected for throwing a punch, marking his second ejection of the training camp.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed disappointment over the incidents, highlighting that such distractions hinder the effectiveness of practice. He stated the need to maintain focus during training sessions. Following the conclusion of joint practices, the Cowboys are now gearing up for their preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday night.
