A Lopsided Contest in Fort Worth
The Grambling Tigers entered their matchup with the TCU Horned Frogs hoping to compete, but they found themselves on the wrong end of a 63-7 defeat at Amon G. Carter Stadium on Sunday, September 13, 2026. While Grambling managed to put points on the board in the second quarter, they were unable to sustain any momentum against a TCU offense that scored in every period.
Early Struggles and Second Quarter Pressure
TCU established control early, taking a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on an 8-yard run by Major Everhart. Grambling’s offense struggled to find rhythm initially, but they broke through in the second quarter when Reginald Johnson connected with Byron Eaton Jr. on a 7-yard pass for their only touchdown of the game.
However, TCU responded immediately and aggressively. The Horned Frogs scored three consecutive touchdowns to end the half, including runs by Jon Denman and Joe Pitchford, alongside a 9-yard passing touchdown from Jaden Craig to Ka'Morreun Pimpton. By halftime, the score stood at 21-7 in favor of TCU.
Offensive Explosion Continues
TCU did not slow down after the break. The Horned Frogs added two more touchdown passes in the third quarter, with Jaden Craig finding Kari Ashley and Jeremy Scott for scores of 29 and 52 yards, respectively. This surge pushed the lead to 42-7 heading into the final period.
