A Scoreless Effort
The Missouri State Bears traveled to College Station on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with hopes of competing against the Texas A&M Aggies. Instead, the visiting team found themselves completely stifled on both sides of the ball, ultimately falling 50-0 in a one-sided affair at Kyle Field.
The Bears’ offensive struggles were evident from the opening moments. Their lone contribution to the scoreboard came not through points, but through a safety in the first period. Missouri State’s inability to sustain drives or generate positive yardage allowed Texas A&M to build an insurmountable lead early and maintain control throughout the contest.
Aggies Dominate Early
Texas A&M wasted no time establishing dominance. Quarterback Marcel Reed orchestrated the offense efficiently, completing 21 of 30 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns. His connection with Isaiah Horton proved crucial; Horton caught four passes for 76 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown reception that gave the Aggies an early 7-0 lead.
Shortly after, a safety added two more points to Texas A&M’s tally, making the score 9-0. David Olano handled kicking duties with precision, adding a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter to extend the advantage to 12-0. Reed found tight end Mario Craver for another touchdown pass, this one from 12 yards out, pushing the margin to 19-0 by halftime.
Continued Pressure in Second Half
The Aggies’ defense kept Missouri State’s offense off the field entirely. Bears quarterback Skyler Locklear struggled to find rhythm, completing just 8 of 17 passes for 30 yards. The rushing attack was equally ineffective, with Jambres Dubar carrying the ball seven times for 20 yards. Dillon Hipp led the receiving corps with two catches for 15 yards.
