Giants kept off board
San Francisco was blanked despite getting five hits and two walks against Cody Bradford, who worked 4 1/3 innings with five strikeouts as the Texas Rangers beat the Giants 6-0 on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Bradford allowed no earned runs. Tyler Alexander earned the win, moving to 2-2, after pitching 1 2/3 innings with no hits, no earned runs, no walks and three strikeouts.
Texas breaks through
The Rangers scored four runs in the third inning. Nimmo singled to right to bring in Langford for a 1-0 lead. Foscue followed with a triple to left, scoring Nimmo and Burger to make it 3-0. Díaz then doubled to left, bringing in Foscue for a 4-0 Texas advantage.
Carson Whisenhunt took the loss for San Francisco, falling to 2-3. He allowed four earned runs on five hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings, with four strikeouts. Carson Seymour handled 2 2/3 innings and gave up one earned run on two hits and one walk while striking out two.
