The game, which drew 23,288 spectators, saw the Angels’ bats ignite early and remain hot throughout the contest, leaving the home team with little answer to the barrage.

Key Scoring Plays

The Angels established control in the first inning when Grissom singled to left field, allowing Neto to score for a 1-0 lead. The gap widened significantly in the fourth inning. Adell launched a 359-foot home run to right field, driving in Grissom to make it 3-0.

The fifth inning proved pivotal for Los Angeles. Grissom singled to left, scoring Neto and advancing Trout to third. Immediately following that, Adell hit a 433-foot home run to center field, bringing home Trout and Grissom in a three-run blast that extended the lead to 7-0. For the Rangers, starter MacKenzie Gore took the loss, falling to 5-8 on the season. Gore pitched 5.0 innings but allowed nine hits and seven earned runs, though he did strike out seven batters. Gavin Collyer, Ben Peoples, Robby Ahlstrom, and Kyle Higashioka also pitched for Texas, with Collyer and Higashioka each allowing two earned runs. Higashioka, who also homered, pitched the final inning.
