Downtown Aubrey's Veterans Memorial Park hosts the city's second annual Aubrey For Veterans event Saturday, Nov. 7.
The event starts at 9 a.m., according to the city's event page. Plans include a presentation of colors by the American Legion riders, patriotic music and time set aside for people to honor veterans and service members.
The morning also brings the last Fruit Jar Junction Market of the year. The city-run farmers market meets in the park on the first Saturday of each month from April through November, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the November date is listed as part of Aubrey For Veterans.
Its vendors include farmers, ranchers, growers and artisans selling handmade goods and homemade food; the city says resale items and multilevel-marketing sellers are not allowed.
A cornhole tournament run by Legion of Legends - Cornhole is also on the schedule, with beginner and advanced divisions. The city lists entry at $20 per person, $40 per team for recreational doubles and $60 per team for advanced doubles.
