A man from Grayson County has been arrested and charged with several drug-related offenses. Charles Dewayne Ford, 57, of Annetta, was taken into custody following an investigation conducted by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force in collaboration with Kentucky Probation and Parole. The incident occurred at Ford's residence on Anneta Road on July 2, 2026.
Law enforcement officials reported discovering a marijuana grow operation in Ford's closet, along with packaged methamphetamine believed to be intended for resale and $2,000 in cash. Authorities indicated that Ford attempted to conceal the marijuana by placing it in a Ziploc bag and hiding it beneath other items in his closet. Additionally, a notebook containing evidence of suspected drug trafficking and marijuana cultivation was found in his possession.
Ford has been charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, cultivating marijuana (with five or more plants), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence. This arrest comes in light of Ford's prior conviction for methamphetamine trafficking in September 2022, for which he is currently on probation until 2030.
The investigation into Ford's activities is ongoing, and further details have not yet been released.
