The City of Aubrey has issued a reminder to residents regarding the use of fireworks ahead of the Fourth of July holiday. The announcement, published on June 29, 2026, confirms that fireworks are not allowed within the Aubrey city limits. This regulation remains in effect to protect community safety and support the local fire department.

The city noted that the prohibition is designed to minimize risks associated with unregulated pyrotechnics. Instead of private use, residents are encouraged to attend professional fireworks displays hosted by neighboring communities. The city provided a list of nearby events scheduled for July 4, 2026.

One option is the Denton Kiwanis Fireworks Show in the City of Denton. Gates for this event open at 6:00 PM and close at 10:00 PM. Another location is Rancho De La Roca, located at 2459 Blackjack Road West in Aubrey. The venue is hosting its Annual Freedom Fest from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Additionally, the City of Little Elm is holding its Red, White, & Beach event, which runs from 8 AM to 10 PM.

The city thanked residents for their cooperation with the regulation. The announcement concluded with a standard Independence Day greeting. This notice appears alongside other recent municipal updates, including information regarding a City Council vacancy in Place 2 and monthly messages from the Mayor.

Residents planning to celebrate should verify event details directly with the respective hosting organizations. The city maintains that the ban on private fireworks is a standing safety measure. No exceptions were noted for personal use within the jurisdiction.
