SMU will play Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke on the road in ACC football during the 2027 season. The Mustangs are also scheduled to host Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford, while opening the season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium.
The nine-game conference slate will be SMU’s second under the ACC’s current scheduling format. That format calls for nine league games and at least 10 contests against Power Four opponents each season. The ACC said dates and the complete 2027 schedule are expected in late January.
Under coach Rhett Lashlee, SMU is 15-2 in ACC play. The Mustangs have won every conference game played at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, giving them the strongest league record among ACC programs over that span. SMU is scheduled to travel to Louisville this week to face No. 23 Louisville.
