The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall, enhancing their roster ahead of a preseason matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. General manager Nick Caserio confirmed the signing on August 17, following Hall's workout with the team.

At 28 years old, Hall previously played for the New York Jets and most recently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected 158th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, coming from the fifth round. Throughout his career, Hall has started 26 out of 40 games, recording a total of 122 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and half a sack.

Standing at 6-foot-1, he brings versatility and is expected to aid the special teams, an area where the Texans are looking to improve.

The Texans are currently dealing with injury issues in their secondary, with several players, including Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan, sidelined due to various injuries. These challenges could affect the team's special teams performance, making Hall's signing particularly beneficial as he seeks to add depth and experience. Updates on the Texans' roster and injury situation are expected as the preseason continues.
