A Fragile Start for Chicago
The Chicago White Sox found themselves in a difficult position early, watching their pitching lineup unravel against a potent Texas Rangers offense. He departed the game with the loss, dropping his record to 3-7.
Rangers Offense Takes Control
The Texas Rangers broke the game open in the first inning. With the score tied 0-0, Nimmo launched a 351-foot home run to left field, driving in Langford to take a 2-0 lead. The Rangers continued to apply pressure in the third inning when Burger doubled to left, allowing Jung to score and extending the advantage to 3-0.
The fourth inning proved decisive for the visitors. Osuna singled to left to bring Díaz home, making it 4-0. Lopez followed with a single to center, scoring Osuna and pushing the lead to 5-0.
The Rangers’ momentum did not slow down in the fifth. Osuna singled to right, driving in both Duran and Cauley to make the score 7-0. Langford then homered to left (397 feet), scoring Osuna and increasing the deficit to 9-0.
Pitching Struggles Continue
Chicago attempted to stabilize the game, but the Rangers’ hitting persisted. In the sixth inning, Duran singled to left to score Nimmo, capping the scoring at 10-0. The White Sox bullpen could not contain the surge.
