The Denton Police Department is requesting public assistance in locating a 69-year-old man who has been missing since Wednesday. Family members have expressed concern for his safety, noting that while the individual is known to walk around the community, he has never been away from home for such an extended period.
The man, identified only by the first name Halvin, left his residence around noon on Wednesday and has not returned. According to the police department, he was last seen in the 500 block of East Prairie Street. Witnesses reported that he was dressed entirely in black and was carrying a black bag at the time.
Denton is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Aubrey. Law enforcement officials have not provided additional details regarding the circumstances of his disappearance or the current status of the search efforts.
Police are asking anyone who spots Halvin to immediately call 911. Authorities have not specified whether a formal missing person report has been filed or if there are any known medical conditions that might affect his ability to return home safely.
